Responsibilities

  • Development of quality national curriculum and textbooks produced by REB and made available online, printed and distributed to all pre-primary, primary, secondary and special schools;

  • To enhance the performance in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) across basic education, and ensure that the generated knowledge is aptly used to drive the development of relevant economic segments

  • Development of Accessible Interactive Multimedia Textbooks (AIMTs) for the realization of CBC delivery to all learners in pre-primary, primary, secondary and special schools.

  • Adaptation of the curriculum and teaching materials that effectively respond to the needs of all learners.

  • Enhancing research to ensure high quality of curriculum and design of learning and teaching materials/aids at all levels of basic education.
